The plan is to go up to 13x11 and then move on to row 14. Rows 14 and 15 are comparable to row 13, so we should be able to get up to row 16 (the final row) with only data sets 13x12, 14x12, and 15x12 unfinished.

Has the plan changed?

How big are the remnants of sf7? Is it only of sub-group 4 or more than sub-group 4? Since they aren't distributed in any sort of numerical order, it is hard to follow along to know how many work units are left to be distributed.

Meanwhile, the last remnants of subfield 7 have been farmed out to Gerasim.

Not getting any work from Gerasim on Linux. Does this mean we are done with subfield 7?

Update: Nevermind, Just started getting work for subgroup 4

Since sf6 DS13X12 is bigger than the final group of sf7 (over 400 days of processing) , are we going to pass it for the moment and move on to other fields is sf6 or go ahead and process it in the order built?

I noticed on the batch status page the sf6-DS-12x9 has been marked completed. However, I am still getting a few of these tasks from time to time. Do you still need these tasks? If not, I would rather abort them and work on tasks that are needed.

Thanks all for your comments. The problem is not the cost of the hardware, and I could even donate that myself to the University if it would help. I think the biggest issue is the server maintenance. I don't actually work for the University, so they need to get the IT department to do the install of any donated hardware (if they will even accept it), and that's a hassle for them. They had no problem doing it for a tenured professor, but now there is no one to fight that battle. If I was more of a people person and knew who's butt to kiss I might be able to make it happen, but that's not who I am. Anyways, I hope the hardware has several more years left in it, so this all becomes a mute point.

It sounds like the University owns the server. Is there a possibility that they might want to repurpose that server for something else sometime in the future and you lose the entire server?

If you could post the manufacturer and part number of the hard disk, I'm sure one could be found and sent to you to have as a spare. If they are willing to host you, I would stay there. Electricity isn't cheap these days and that is an ongoing expense plus network costs. I'm sure the community would be willing to help where they can for parts etc. Last year I sent 4 ageing servers to Poland to help with another BOINC project.
