Although CBD oil is established as an effective medication against seizures and other health conditions, it is believed that further research is required to determine the safety of its use. CBD is found in marijuana, but it does not have THC which is a psychoactive ingredient also found in marijuana that gets people high. While the most common formulation of CBD is oil, it can also be used in several other forms like a vaporized liquid, an extract as well as an oil-based capsule. Also, it is very common to see food, drums, and even beauty products infused with CBD and they are all effective in their ways.

As it stands, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has only approved the prescription CBD oil known as Epidiolex. Notably, Epidiolex is for the treatment of two kinds of epilepsy. Apart from this, the state laws governing the use of CBD vary from one place to another.

Just like almost every other thing in life, using CBD is associated with certain risks. However, they are only a few. Some of these risks are dry mouth, reduced appetite, fatigue, diarrhea, and drowsiness. Besides, CBD can interact with some other medications that you are taking which may lead to side effects. A good example of such medications is blood thinner.

You should note that it is not advisable to take CBD products without taking proper caution though it has a good reputation for being safe. To ensure you are safe while using this product, you may want to consult your doctor.
