BOINC client and BAM manager force use of old url to connect

Posted 16 Nov 2016 by Fritzr Post: I get a notice from the project saying to change the URL used by BOINC from http://numberfields.asu.edu/NumberFields/ to https://numberfields.asu.edu/NumberFields/ When I choose NumberFields from the Add Project dialog box the only url offered is the http address When I synchronize with BOINCStats the http url is automatically added Then I get a notice from the project saying I need to remove the http url and connect using the https url Manually adding NunberFields using Add Project gives me 2 Numberfields entries in BOINC Manager differing only in the url. Since I am using BAM as my Account Manager, disconnecting using BAM removes the http url only. Connecting via BAM adds the http url only. Both urls appear to work at this time. The BOINC Manager information used by the BOINC client and account managers needs to be updated in order to permit this change. NumberFields@home: Notice from BOINC[/quote] |
