Computation error in AMD OpenCL tasks
(Message 3074)
Posted 24 Apr 2021 by Alextrader69 Post: I tried to install latest available driver for my GPU. I installed AMD Catalyst 15.11.1 beta, instead of 14.9. Computation error stop occuring, and GPU started executing tasks. But there's new problems. First, usage of GPU is very low, just few percents. Second, when GPU task is started, it almost immediatly use all RAM. Third, when task is close to completion, it's slowing down, so the task cannot be completed when it is close to 100%. I'll try different versions of Catalyst, maybe i'll force my GPU to crunch eventually. |

Computation error in AMD OpenCL tasks

Posted 22 Apr 2021 by Alextrader69 Post: I'm getting computation error on all GPU AMD OpenCL tasks, although CPU tasks are working properly. I'm running BOINC on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, GPU: ATI AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series, with 1024 MB memory. The chip on GPU is Juniper, it supports OpenCL 1.2 - Juniper - CUs:9@700MHz. AMD Catalyst driver version: 14.9. I know that GPU is old, 2011, but it working nicely on SRBase project. I've checked event log on BOINC, this is it: 22/04/2021 10:01:58 | NumberFields@home | [task] task_state=EXECUTING for wu_sf3_DS-16x271-4_Grp677981of1000000_0 from start I've noticed that line: 22/04/2021 10:02:17 | NumberFields@home | [task] exit code -1073741571 (0xc00000fd): (unknown error) I've checked that exit code on the internet, but I didn't found any clue, except that developer of project could know what this exit code means. Thanks in advance. |
