From my understanding, the root cause of the problem is that Russia is blocking BOINCstats from accessing the Gerasim server.

Since NumberFields can access the Gerasim server, I wrote a curl script which pulls the export files from Gerasim's server to the NumberFields server, and this runs daily. We are now waiting on BOINCstats to modify their scripts to pull the data from the NumberFields server.

The kudos go to Demis. The script took me less than 5 minutes to write. Demis did the hard part of diagnosing the problem and handling the communication with the folks at BOINCstats.

I told Walli about a similar setup I did on Free-DC back in Janurary for them to pull the stats directly from Free-DC.

Good to know. Maybe Demis will have better luck with them...

The crunch points lost in April have now been restored.
The corresponding points have also been added to teams and countries.
The statistics servers will download the updated information only tomorrow.

I was wondering when my points that I lost with the database crash will be restored, I lost at least 20 Million points and have been waiting for them to turn up but no luck so far.

Anyway the project is working and I am getting work, well done to those who got it working again.

I don't know about the Boincstats server as I mainly use Free-DC. So don't know about those point totals as I have not seen a jump of 16 million points in one day (18/6/2026) on Free-DC.

The 20+ million points I am talking about is probably the points I lost in the 1st database crash and I now understand those points will never come back.

I was curious about all the points that were credited in the last week to various people.

I assumed that the original lost points had been recovered but that is obviously not the case.

Don't worry about it, I will continue on.
