Hello, I repeat, i not speak about estimated or remaing time given by BAM

I only speak about the estimated GFLOPS, given by the project itself.
Given in the file "init_data.xml", downloaded from the project.

Most of WU need about 10,000GFLOPS (ten thousand)
OK so far.
The project estimate my power on host 197647 at 4Gflops and 11 giga integer.
In theory, i would need 2,500 second to finish. I repeat "more or less"
Also OK so far.

But why for some WU it need a few seconds and some other WU many hours ????
This for the same GFLOPS ???
Once again, i repeat, i only take info from the project, not from BAM !

Best regards
.

That number is just an estimate. That number was set a while back based on an average value. So first of all, the average of the latest data sets may be different but should be close. But I think your biggest concern is the large deviation in run times between WUs. The problem is we don't know beforehand what the estimated run time will be, and therefore the best we can do is use the average. So some take a few seconds and others take a few hours; if you averaged the runtime from a large number of these WUs you would find it close to the estimated value. Hope that helps explain things!
