Since 11 August 2017, I have discovered numberfields.asu.edu to be dropping all traffic sent from my host, pygoscelis.nethershaw.com (75.182.90.20, [2606:a000:1120:402a::3]). This machine is identified as Computer 35429 in the NumberFields@home project.

I'm able to reach numberfields.asu.edu from my other hosts, leading me to conclude that my host's IP address has been filtered by some sort of blacklist.

This is a common mistake: I operate a TOR relay on my network as a public service to provide bandwidth to individuals seeking to escape oppressive censorship. This is—very importantly—not an exit node; it does not permit traffic to egress from the TOR network for any reason. Some third-parties falsely identify it as a threat by heuristic means nevertheless because it appears on certain lists, which is a categorical error, and ought to be corrected.

I am requesting that my host's address be whitelisted, or otherwise permitted to communicate with numberfields.asu.edu again. It has no history of generating abusive traffic of any kind; this request is made in good faith, and fulfillment will permit me to resume my contributions to the project.

The best I can do is relay this information to the ASU IT department to see if they can adjust their firewall. It may take a few days, but I will let you know what they say.

Thank you, Eric. It appears your communication to ASU IT has resolved my issue. My host is now successfully communicating with your project servers and receiving work again. I appreciate your attention.

You are actually the 2nd person to have this kind of issue in the past month. I'm guessing ASU recently made changes to their firewall, and we are seeing the effects of that. I fear this will not be the last time I have to deal with this...

Ok. I sent an email to IT department asking to white list your ip. I doubt they will get to it on the weekend and Monday is a university holiday, so give it until Wednesday of next week. If it still doesn't work by then, please let me know.
