Your news feed said that we are on the last field now. Can you please explain what that means?

1. Is the project finished?
2. Are the existing 2 sub-projects finished
3. Will there be new apps? If so, when?

Thanks

Sorry, I should have been more explicit. It's the bounded app that is on the last subfield. This means the bounded app has completely finished the search and found all degree 10 fields with discriminant bounded by 1.2E11.

The regular decics app will continue to find those fields with ramification at specific sets of primes. This app will continue into the foreseeable future.

To be completely correct, I should have said "all imprimitive degree 10 fields".

At a later time, we may decide to do the primitive degree 10 fields. These are the ones with no intermediate subfields. This would require a new app.

But, by the looks of the Batch Status page, aren't most of the Idx's yet to have their work distributed? Why are we dry on the Bounded App already? :)

I'm seeing Idx2 tasks being issued, even though that row on the batch status page hasn't been activated yet.

In the last day or so we jumped up from 13 to 14.5 TFLOPS. I hadn't noticed this and thought 15k WUs in the queue would be enough overnight, but woke up this morning to find an empty queue.

It should be good now.

That's because I hadn't enabled it yet in the php script that generates the batch status page. It's turned on now. Note that this runs as a cron job and only updates the batch status every half hour, so you wont see the change immediately.
