I have several of these "Message from task: 0" lines in the log.
Is this a problem?

I'm not sure if it's a problem. I see it in my event log also, but only with the newer BOINC clients running on Windows. For now I think we can ignore the message since results are being returned successfully.

This is a bug in the BOINC client v7.6.22, which becomes apparent when it encounters an application built against a new-ish version of the BOINC API library (but only when running under Windows).

It's entirely harmless - a new feature to pass back useful information from the application is a bit over-enthusiastic, and passes on the message even when there's no message. Message '0' means "All OK, nothing to see here".

The bug has been fixed for future builds of the BOINC clients, but there are no new builds yet - unless you want to build your own, or test the stealth (unreported) version 7.6.23
