I have 3 Wus which are running in a super slow motion (Get Decics with Bounded Discriminint)

1. 18.865 % Elapsed 8h:23 Remaining 1d:12h:38
2. 15.555 % Elapsed 4h:49 Remaining 1d:02h:09
3. 2.330 % Elapsed 9h:45 Remaining 17d:01h:48

The deadline is 12/3/ 4:29 PM UTC

My PC is an Intel 5960

All the Others WUs are correctly running and the maximum elapsed I encountered is less than 4 hours

is this correct ???

Sorry for the late response - I have been in airports most of the day.

It might be okay. There are periodic outliers and I have seen some take over 15 hours. If it goes beyond 24 hours there may be a problem, in which case you may want to abort. Let me know what ends up happening so I can look into those WUs.

You can say that again! Here's a recent example - wu_12E10_SF56-0_Idx6_Grp6121of77590. They all get there in the end if left in peace...

The ones I've seen recently have moved very slowly through the first 5% or 10% of displayed progress, romped through to 90% or 95%, and then slowed down again for the final 10% or 5%.

Likewise wu_12E10_SF57-0_Idx6_Grp70460of74120, though you'll have to be quick to catch that one before it's purged.

Thanks for sticking with those long WUs - knowing which ones are really long will help me to figure out what the problem is.

It appears the WU generator that breaks up the search space is a little out of whack, as there are a ton of really fast WUs and a small number of really slow ones. It should be more evenly distributed.

Another update:

the WU wu_12E10_SF56-0_Idx9_Grp76555of87776_0 is 57.997 % 2d 5h elapsed and 1d 14h 26m remaining

the other wu_12E10_SF56-0_Idx9_Grp76561of87776_0 is 51.275% 1d 14h 51m elapsed and 1d 12h 55m remaining

now here is 7:44 UTC and the deadline is nowaday at 16:29 UTC, surely too early to complete the WUs

Thanks for the update.

Don't worry about the deadline. I doubt someone will be able to pick it up and finish it before you do. You will still get credit for it even past the deadline.

With regards to the credit on these long WUs - let me know if anything goes wrong and I will manually grant you credit for them.

I believe I figured out a better way to breakup the search space, which should get rid of the really long WUs. I need to do some further testing before it's ready, so in the meantime we will keep crunching on the current WUs (which have already been generated anyways).

So be aware there are still a handful of long running WUs out there. They may take 2 to 3 days to finish, but they should eventually complete.
