At Gerasim, SerVal has integrated the apps for nvidia gpu (on windows), amd gpu (on windows), and linux cpu. These apps are now processing WUs for subfield 3.

On Numberfields, I am sprinkling in some WUs for sf6, in order to get some updated timing information. This will help in creating the new batches for sf6 to come later in the year.

On Gerasim, is it possible to include a GPU application for Linux? Thank you very much.

There doesn't seem to be much interest for linux in general and it's a lot of work to create and utilize the apps at Gerasim, so my first instinct would be to say no. Sorry!

If an application for Linux existed it would attract more volunteers,maybe....if it's too much work.....thanks anyway

Hi all.
I added an application for nvidia opencl to NumberFields-Gerasim.
Theoretically, everything works, but Gerasim does not send tasks for Nvidia.
This is my second unsuccessful attempt. :(
.
To find out what's going on, I need to run Gerasim under a debugger, and look at the scheduler request / replay .
My suggestion is to count the current set and start investigating after Eric has all the results from the current set.
.
Resume:
The sooner we finish Gerasim's work, the better. :)

Hello
why there is no Linux and Mac application on Gerasim ?
Thank you.

I think it's best not to wait when the current server dies.
That's another option if/when the current server dies.

Yes.
Why not use the public server gerasim.boinc.ru ?
(you can upload tasks to the server and receive the results calculated by the participants).

@Eric:
If you are interested, I will tell you how to do it.
Best regards, SerVal (gerasim.boinc.ru admin).

@SerVal:
I thought gerasim was a stand alone project. I am interested to learn more. I will respond to your pm so we can discuss offline.

Hello
if you want to continue using the Gerasim server, it would be better to keep applications for Linux and Mac.
thank you

That credit does look too low, by about a factor of 10.

I thought maybe your benchmarks were off, so I looked at them. Your GFLOPS look reasonable but the GIOPS (Giga integer operations per second) look very high, which is actually the opposite of what I expected. So I am not sure what is going on here, and will need to think on it some more.

This could be a side effect of "Credit New". I noticed that this machine has a high total credit but low RAC, meaning it's been away for a while. While you were away the credit system was changed to Credit New, so maybe that is contributing to the problem. I would try recomputing benchmarks from the client and resetting stats.

very well I await a solution
thank you

Yay! A new project!

Looking forward to a mac app in the future.

Can you please turn on the server status page, and maybe add a link on the front page?
